Join Queensland's IT proving ground: 2006 graduate vacancies at CITEC

17 October 2005

University graduates with an interest in the ICT sector have the chance to gain experience across all facets of one of Queensland's major ICT providers, through CITEC's graduate development program.

CITEC is calling for applications for its graduate development program for 2006. Students graduating from university in 2005 with majors in IT, marketing and finance are encouraged to apply.

CITEC's Human Resource Manager, Leonie Hamilton, said the graduate development program was designed to give graduates exposure to the key parts of CITEC's operations.

"We want our graduates to develop a solid understanding of the business, so we rotate them through various parts of the business. Our graduates work in divisions such as technology strategies, marketing, sales, infrastructure management and software services," Leonie said.

"We also offer on the job training and a mentoring program, to further support the graduates and develop their skills.

"Over the years our graduate development program has earned a reputation as a proving ground for people in the ICT sector, and we now see many former CITEC graduates holding senior positions within government and the private sector."

Along with an attractive remuneration package, CITEC offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients in the private and public sectors across Australia. Graduates will be based in Brisbane and will initially be appointed for a fixed term of two years.

If you're a dynamic graduate who's looking for an exciting career in the ICT industry, please contact CITEC. Applications for the graduate development program close at 5:00pm on Monday 31 October 2005.
