CISSP accreditation for CITEC staff

Three CITEC staff have gained the internationally accepted Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) accreditation, which ensures fundamental security knowledge on many levels.

The certified staff will add valuable expertise to CITEC's processes and procedures. The certification also enables CITEC to provide best practice service and capabilities in all facets of IT security.

To gain the certification the staff had to successfully complete a 250 multiple-choice question exam, which covered 10 CISSP information systems security test domains:

  • access control systems and methodology
  • applications and systems development
  • business continuity planning
  • cryptography
  • law, investigation and ethics
  • operations security
  • physical security
  • security architecture and models
  • security management practices
  • telecommunications, network and Internet security
