At CITEC, our commitment is fostering diverse talent and promoting a workplace free from harassment, discrimination and bullying. The successful workplace diversity strategies used by CITEC include:

  • Department of Public Works’ Equity and Diversity Management Plan, which reflects our conscious decision to improve our organisational culture, employees’ skills and work environment through our recognition of skills and capabilities of all members of the community
  • Workforce Planning Committee consisting of management and target group representatives which facilities communication and consultation of issues and strategies
  • a dedicated "Diversity @ CITEC" Intranet site providing information to CITEC employees
  • a dedicated Equity Officer and Deputy Equity Officer
  • Harassment and Equity Referral Officer (HERO) network consisting of trained employees who have volunteered to take on the role of being referral officers and assist employees who may be experiencing problems within the workplace
  • participation of all employees at workplace diversity training every two years.
